River’s Edge Events, located at Melbourne’s World Trade Centre’s WTC Wharf, is a successful events venue which opened in 2012.
Since then it has hosted a wide variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, seminars, conferences, cocktail parties, and celebratory dinners, catering to groups from 50 to 450 guests.
The venue features a modern design with polished concrete floors, neutral tones, and industrial-style lighting. Its expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow abundant natural light and provide stunning views of the river and cityscape.
Operable doors enable flexible configurations, accommodating intimate gatherings of 20 guests or larger events up to 450 guests in a cocktail setting.
A chic and highly modern space in the WTC Wharf precinct, River’s Edge Events boasts spectacular views of the Yarra River.
The WTC Wharf precinct is Melbourne’s first wharf-edge dining precinct and is a vibrant dining and lifestyle destination.
Reporting on its launch, Spice website (Hotel and venue News) noted on 21 May 2012: “The designers of River’s Edge have been clever in arresting the views of the river and bringing them into the room as an integral part of the décor. At night, the dramatic illuminated blades of the convention centre burn soft reflections in the river and would have any lighting technician blowing a fuse with envy. Heated river-facing balconies are a special treat.”
